AD STUDIO

Make thousands of audio ads—and
make sure they’re all good.

 

 Brief:

Audio streaming services like Spotify offer advertisers millions of attentive ears between their music and podcasts—but not every company has an agency to produce those ads. We were tasked with creating a studio to quickly and efficiently build out ads to connect advertisers to listeners—and learn along the way.

 

Execution:

In collaboration with our project management team, I built out a studio system to service different tiers of clients, from massive, million dollar campaigns to single ads for local restaurants. Through training, standards, reviews, and just a whole lot of work, we successfully create thousands of ads every year, with glowing reviews.

We created most ads in 72 hours from initial brief to final production with streamlined and precise creative, driven by our learnings from doing so many ads at scale.

 

 

Strategy
We worked closely with Spotify to develop brief templates and trained writers, producers, and voice talent on best practices.

Operations
We built a tiered project management system that seamlessly moved ‘express’ ads quickly so we could focus our time and effort on more premium campaigns.

Creation
Writers, producers, and voice talent were empowered to make great creative within the boundaries of the program, and to hold each other accountable.

Direction
Regular reviews, trainings, and work showcases helped us refine the creative process and continue to improve on the work we were doing.

Learnings
We collected data and insights that ranged from how to perfectly craft CTAs to what kinds of music worked best per industry, and then fed those insights back into the process.
